Oil and Gas Downstream Welding Services

Nick’s Welding Inc. is an experienced oil, natural gas and product pipe fabrication and welding company that has served the Rocky Mountain energy industry since 1995. We offer field and shop welding services from our Denver, Colorado location. We fabricate and weld pipe for slug meter lines, compressors, hydrators, separators, lease automatic custody transfer units (LACT) and other production equipment. Nick’s Welding works on all pipe sizes and has extensive experience with welding carbon, stainless and alloy pipe materials.

We take pride in the work we do. Nick’s Welding is committed to excellence and dedicated to meeting customer deadlines. Our field service crews are SafeLandUSA trained and certified.

Traditionally we work on an hourly pricing basis, but we also offer fixed cost projects. For your next pipe fabrication and welding project, please give us a call at 720-625-3994.

Welding Services

  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) - Commonly referred to as the MIG process (Metal Inert Gas), GMAW or MIG welding automates the welding process. The solid consumable electrode and the shielding gas are fed continuously. Carbon and stainless steel can be welded into any position with appropriate equipment and welding parameters. The welder is responsible for gun positioning, guiding and travel speed.
  • Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) - FCAW is used for carbon steel, stainless steel and low-alloy steels. A continuous tubular filler metal electrode provides the shielding agent. Flux-cored is suitable for all position welding when the correct filler metal and welding parameters are selected.
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - GTAW or Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and inert shielding gas. This welding process grants the operator greater control than other processes and thus produces the highest quality welds of any open arc welding process. Welds are bright and shiny, with no slag or spatter, and require little to no post-weld cleaning. GTAW is used extensively in the Colorado’s energy, chemical and oil & gas industries.
  • Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) - SMAW or stick welding uses a consumable electrode covered with a flux to join most metals and alloys. The equipment needed is portable and can easily be brought to the field on trucks.
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) - In SAW, a bare electrode heats the base material metals beneath a blanket of flux material. Welding can only be done in a flat or horizontal position and high deposition rates can be achieved. SAW is suitable for both indoor and outdoor works, and the welds produced are sound, uniform, ductile, corrosion resistant and have good impact value.

With over 20 years of experience and a genuine focus on customer satisfaction, you can rely on us for your next project. We provide professional welding and fabrication services to the oil and gas, pressure vessel, HVAC and process industries in Colorado.
